In 2014 Wilsons celebrity made its away over the pond in a more prominent way by announcing her participation as a character on Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman who has a past of dark who falls for an unmarried man called Noah Solloway. Wilson was honored with the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress of a Television Series in Drama 2015, along with Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson told British Vogue, "I loved getting to portray the character that has each side of the tale." Noah views Alison as a confident, unpretentious and sexually attractive light. She sees herself in a totally different way which on the outside is dull and in the shadows and trying not to be noticed. The actress said "I consider that America is a moral country and that they are so judgmental. Everything that happens on the show looks like a shocking scene." In 2018, Wilson quit her show in the midst of the shock of many fans but was cryptic on further specifics. I was in a position to give up however she refused to let me talk about the decision.
