After a single year at University, Contractor went to an open audition for the play Pericles at the prestigious and renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and was offered the leading role. After 92 performances, she received positive reviews. This play was named one of the most successful productions in Canada by the critics. Contractor accepted an invitation to join Stratford's Conservatory. The Conservatory has only 8 men and four females are admitted to a course of 20 weeks in classical theater.
